The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology has been awarded the Minister's Commendation to schools, libraries, and organizations (individuals) that have been conducting excellent and distinctive practices in order to contribute to the further promotion of children's reading activities.
226 schools, libraries, and organizations (individuals) have been awarded nationwide as "Excellent Practice Schools and Libraries", and in Yokohama, Terao Elementary School (Tsurumi Ward), Honmaki Minami Elementary School (Naka Ward) and Naka Library (Naka Ward).
