Kunishige Regarding additional certification of holders of intangible cultural properties required and nationally selected preservation technology

Following the deliberations and resolution of the Council for Cultural Properties Subcommittee held on Friday, July 22, 2022, the National Cultural Council (Chairman Noboru Sato) reported to the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology regarding the recognition of holders of the important intangible cultural property "Noshitekata" and selection preservation technology.
According to the official gazette notification, there will be one holder of the Kunishige Important Intangible Cultural Property in Yokohama City. In addition, only one person possesses the country-selected preservation technology.
