The naming ceremony for the first new green methanol container ship was held in Japan.

　Marsk AS ※(Vincent Clerc CEO) Green methanol fuel container ship entered Yokohama Port for the first time, and a naming ceremony was held today. The naming ceremony for an ultra-large green methanol container ship of approximately 16,000 was the second in the world following Korea on January 26, and was the first in Japan.
　At the naming ceremony, it was named "Atrid Maersk" by Godmother (Mr. Makoto Uchida, President and wife of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.).
　Takeharu Yamanaka, The Mayor of Yokohama, Vice-Chairman Naoko Fukushima of Yokohama City Council, attended from Yokohama, and the mayor presented a commemorative shield to the captain.
　Yokohama City has been promoting the formation of carbon neutral ports with the aim of realizing a decarbonized society by 2050. In December last year, Marsk AS and Mitsubishi Gas Chemical signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the aim of promoting the use of green methanol fuel supply at Yokohama Port.
　Going forward, we will continue to promote decarbonization so that Yokohama Port will become Japan's first green methanol supply base.
