April 2 is "World Autism Awareness Day". It was established by the United Nations in 2007 to deepen understanding of autism and other developmental disorders around the world. In Japan, from April 2 to 8 is designated as "Development Disability Awareness Week".
Yokohama City will conduct awareness-raising activities through various events under the name "World Autism Awareness Day in Yokohama 2022" as part of the dissemination and awareness of developmental disorders, including autism.
