May issue Yokohama "Garden Necklace Yokohama 2021" full of flowers and greenery

"Garden Necklace Yokohama", which connects the city of Yokohama like a necklace with beautiful flowers and greenery, is celebrating its fifth year this year. During the exhibition, flowers such as cherry blossoms, tulips, and roses will bloom one after another in various parts of the city. Among them, I went around spots that show various expressions depending on the season.

The first thing I visited was Shinko Chuo Hiroba. Colorful tulips greeted me.
The "natural garden" created by various kinds of cute flowers combined with the red brick in the background creates a unique sight in Yokohama that makes you feel exotic. Walking along the path created between flowers and flowers, you can enjoy an immersive feeling surrounded by flowers.

A short walk from Shinko Chuo Hiroba toward the Red Brick, you will find Zounohana Park. Here, there is a photo spot where you can take a commemorative photo with Garden Necklace Yokohama's mascot character "Garden Bear".
In addition, the photo spot is also the point of the "Flower and Green Digital Stamp Rally" where you can get garden bear goods.

The next spot to visit was Nihon Odori Avenue. The beautiful cityscape lined with historical buildings and open cafes is colored by a wide variety of tulips. I walked dashingly on the open street leading to Yokohama Port than usual.

The last one we visited was Yamashita Park.
The "Blue Mixed Flowerbed", which mixes spring blooming bulbs such as tulips, narcissus, and muscarli, allows you to enjoy the attractive scenery that changes according to the season.
Also, at the time of the interview, a flower bed exhibition was held, so many colorful flower beds were set up, delighting the eyes of people who visited the park.

This time, we visited several spots, but at the time of the interview was in the middle of April, so in May and June, the flowers will show different expressions again as the season progresses. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of scenery you can see.

In May, the city's flower "Rose" will be in full bloom. Roses can be enjoyed in various parts of the city, such as Yamashita Park, Harbor View Park (Minato-no-Mieru Oka Koen) and Yokohama City Hall.
