　In 2014, the project team "Gundam Global Challenge" was formed, led by Yuki Tomino, the general director of "Mobile Senator Gundam", and the dream project of "moving" a real-sized Gundam. We are looking for a wide range of ideas and plans from all over the world, and promote projects led by Japan to promote projects. A roadmap for the realization of moving Gundam has been formed.
　In 2018, the staff who set up a real-sized Gundam standing statue in Odaiba, Tokyo, gathered again, and the design for moving Gundam in Yokohama began. In addition to the design and production of the Gundam body, ideas such as frame and exterior parts, and electrical wiring of the Gundam body were devised.
　The production started in 2019, and Gundam assembly was completed in August 2020. Opened on December 19 of the same year after making adjustments such as checking the operation and lighting up.
　In the production and exhibition of Gundam, many Japanese companies participated as technical partners that cooperate in producing and exhibiting Gundam, and has been working on temporary construction work at Yamashita Wharf, assembling Gundam frames and footbaths, creating and painting exterior parts, and building up control systems. It was truly realized by combining Japan's technological capabilities and passion for manufacturing.
