About authorization of plan of earthquake-resistant repair of building

Response to seal Review of Application Forms
Due to efforts to review the seal, seal has abolished the application form, excluding invoices and power of attorneys.
You will need to show your identity verification documents when applying.

In Yokohama-shi, we authorize "plan of earthquake-resistant repair of building" based on law (hereinafter, "law") about promotion of earthquake-resistant repair of building" based on Article 17 Clause 3 of law. If you are certified, there are relaxation of the provisions of the Building Standards Law and special measures. In addition, in order to receive certification, a third party's evaluation is required for the seismic retrofitting plan.

Relaxation of restrictions on existing ineligibility

When the plan is approved as conforming to the standards listed in Article 17, Paragraph 3, Item 1, Items 2 and 3 of the Seismic Retrofit Promotion Act

In the case of extension, renovation, large-scale repair, or large-scale remodeling, existing ineligible items other than seismic regulations will not be applied retrospectively.

Relaxation of restrictions on fire-resistant buildings

When the plan is approved as conforming to the standards listed in Article 17, Paragraph 3, Item 1, Items 2 and 4 of the Seismic Retrofit Promotion Act

In the case of new pillars and walls or remodeling of pillars and beams, the provisions of the Building Standards Law pertaining to fire-resistant buildings are not subject to application.

Relaxation of floor area ratio

When the plan is approved as conforming to the standards listed in Article 17, Paragraph 3, Item 1, Items 2 and 5 of the Seismic Retrofit Promotion Act

At the time of extension, it is not subject to the provisions of the Building Standards Law pertaining to floor area ratio

Relaxation of restrictions on building coverage ratio

When the plan is approved as conforming to the standards listed in Article 17, Paragraph 3, Item 1, Items 2 and 6 of the Seismic Retrofit Promotion Act

At the time of extension, the provisions of the Building Standards Law pertaining to the building coverage ratio will not be applied.


※If the plan for the seismic retrofit requires a building confirmation or notification of the plan, if the plan is approved, it will be deemed that there was a certificate of confirmation.
