Outline and Purpose of the System

This system is a system that requires businesses that emit greenhouse gases of a certain size or more in the city (global warming countermeasures companies) to create and publish a global warming countermeasure plan and report on the status of implementation. By city evaluating the contents, it is intended to push forward approach for emission control of greenhouse gas in the city systematically.

Businesses subject to the system (global warming countermeasures business operators)

Business classification and applicable requirements
Business classification	Applicable requirements (excerpted from Article 144 of Yokohama City Ordinance, Enforcement Regulations 89)
No. 1 Applicable Business Operator	Those with a total amount of crude oil equivalent energy consumption at all business sites installed in Motoichi in the previous fiscal year is 1,500 kiloliters or more
No. 2 Applicable Business Operator	Chained businesses that are chained businesses that have been set up in Motoichi by the chain operator and those who are members of the chain business conducted by the chain business conducted by the chain operator. The total amount of crude oil equivalent energy used at all business sites related to the chain business in the previous fiscal year was 1,500 kiloliters or more
No. 3 Applicable Business Operators	Vehicles listed in each item of Article 4 of the Special Measures Law Enforcement Ordinance on Reduction of Total Amount of Nitrogen Oxides and Particulate Matter Emissions from Vehicles in Specific Areas (Motors other than towed vehicles and used in the city Limited to those with a location of 100 or more as of the last day of the previous year

Companies other than global warming countermeasures companies can also make global warming countermeasures plans and report the situation to the mayor.

Judgment of the validity of the system

No. 1 applicable company and No. 2 applicable businesses

Using the judgment tool (Excel: 270KB), enter the energy used for all establishments installed in Motoichi last year and check the judgment column.
If the judgment result is "company subject to the system", it is necessary to submit a "Global Warming Countermeasures Plan" as a new business operator by the end of July this year.

No. 3 Applicable Business Operators

As of the end of last fiscal year, of the vehicles used in Yokohama City, the total of vehicles (business vehicles, rental cars, etc.) owned for business use and lease vehicles that have been borrowed continuously for more than one year. If it becomes more than one, it will be a company subject to the system.
In that case, it is necessary to submit a “Global Warming Countermeasures Plan” as a new business operator by the end of July this year.
