FAQs

Q
What should I do if I conduct a soil survey based on laws and regulations?
A

If a soil survey based on laws and regulations is required, please ask a designated research organization (outside site). The designated research organization first determines the risk of contamination by investigating the land history, and, if necessary, conducts soil gas surveys and soil collection surveys. After that, land owners should submit a soil contamination status survey report to Yokohama City.

Q
If the lessee is conducting a business dealing with specific hazardous substances on the rented land, the landowner needs to conduct a soil survey when abolished or changing traits. What should I pay?
A

The soil contamination status survey report must be submitted in the name of the landowner, but since there is no provision for the cost burden, it can be freely determined with the lessee.

Q
As a result of a soil survey, soil contamination was confirmed. Can I buy and sell land?
A

If soil contamination is confirmed as a result of a survey based on laws and regulations, it will be designated as an area, but there is no restriction on buying and selling land.
