List of land related to soil pollution

Last Updated May 10, 2024

We publish published information related to the results of surveys based on the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Law (hereinafter referred to as the "law") or the ordinance on conservation of Yokohama City Living Environment (hereinafter referred to as the "Ordinance").

Land that does not conform to the designated standards stipulated in the law or ordinance and is found to be contaminated with soil, it will be designated as one of the areas depending on whether the trigger of the soil survey is the law or ordinance. The following information is listed in a list.

(Laws and ordinances) Areas requiring action

This refers to an area where soil contamination has been recognized, and measures such as removal of contamination are required because there is a route for intake of soil contamination to people and cause health hazards.

(Regulations and ordinances) Area required to be notified when character changes

This refers to an area where soil contamination has been recognized, and there is no risk of causing health damage, so measures such as removal of contamination are not required because there is no route for intake of soil contamination to humans.

Land which is scheduled to be designated as an area

It is posted as a preliminary report. After judging the applicability of the standards for the risk of health hazards, such as the use of surrounding groundwater, it is designated as either the required area (laws and ordinances) or the required notification area at the time of trait change. Person having well used for drinking around land, sorry to trouble you, but please report to water, soil environment section.

Land where designation of area has been canceled

After being designated as an area, it is recognized that the reason for the designation of the area has disappeared as a result of measures such as the removal of pollution, and it is a land where the designation of the area has been canceled in all or part of the area.
