For those who purchase gasoline in containers (carrying cans)

When purchasing gasoline in a container at a gas station, the gas station operator confirms the identity of the purchaser and the purpose of use, and record the sales record. ※Create a file.

  • Containers (carrying cans, etc.) that comply with the Fire Service Law must be used.
  • Buyers themselves are not allowed to refill gasoline in containers.

※Sales record: A record of the sales date, the buyer's name and address, purpose of use, sales volume, etc.

To everyone at gas station offices

From February 1, 2020, when refilling gasoline into containers such as carrying cans, it is required by law to verify the identity of the purchaser, confirm the purpose of use, and create a sales record.

  • When refilling and selling gasoline, make sure that the container conforms to the Fire Service Law.
  • At self-stands, purchasers are prohibited from refilling gasoline into containers.

Precautions when handling gasoline

  • Gasoline is extremely flammable and extremely dangerous. It is very volatile and the vapor is heavier than air, so it is easy to stay. Care must be taken when using fire and static electricity around it.
  • Avoid storing gasoline in a container as much as possible, as it increases the risk of fire. If you store, store it in a place where there is no fire and there is little temperature change due to sunlight.
  • When handling gasoline in a portable can, make sure that there is no fire around it. Also, adjust the pressure inside the can, such as loosening the adjustment screws before handling.
