Precautions for safe handling of disinfecting alcohol

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, there is an increasing number of opportunities to use disinfecting alcohol. Alcohol for disinfection is defined as a dangerous liquid by the Fire Services Act as a flammable liquid, and it is very dangerous if handled incorrectly.

Follow the following precautions and use disinfecting alcohol safely.

  • Alcohol for disinfection is a very flammable liquid. Never use it near fire.
  • When refilling disinfecting alcohol into a container indoors, ventilate well.
  • When refilling disinfecting alcohol into a container, be careful not to leak, overflow, or scatter.
  • Avoid places where containers containing disinfection alcohol are placed or stored in places exposed to direct sunlight or high temperatures.
  • Do not fall or give impact to containers containing disinfection alcohol. "
  • Do not spray in a sealed space. When it becomes foggy, the risk of ignition increases. Be especially careful of fire.
  • The container that has been refilled with disinfecting alcohol should be disinfected alcohol and precautions such as strictly prohibited fire.
