Precautions for Safe Handling of disinfecting alcohol

In order to prevent the new coronavirus infection, the number of opportunities to use alcohol for disinfection is increasing. Alcohol for disinfection is designated as a dangerous substance by the Fire Services Act as a liquid that is easy to catch fire, and it is very dangerous if treated incorrectly.

Follow the following precautions and use alcohol for disinfection safely.

  • Alcohol for disinfection is a very flammable liquid. Never use it near the fire.
  • When refilling alcohol for disinfection in a container indoors, be sure to ventilate well.
  • When refilling alcohol for disinfection in a container, be careful not to leak, overflow, or scatter.
  • Avoid places where containers containing alcohol for disinfection, avoid direct sunlight or high temperatures.
  • Do not drop or impact a container containing alcohol for disinfection. "
  • Do not spray in a sealed space. When it becomes mist, the risk of ignition increases. Be especially careful of fire.
  • In the container that has been refilled with the alcohol for disinfection, indicate that it is alcohol for disinfection and that precautions such as strictly prohibited fire.
