Call 119 in the event of a power outage

Even in the event of a power outage, the Fire Command Center can continue operation with an emergency power supply.
Whether you can make a 119 call from your phone depends on the model.
For details, check the instruction manual of your phone or contact your contracted telecommunications carrier.

Basically, telephones that cannot be used

Telephones that are always connected to commercial power sources (outlets) are basically unavailable.

  • IP phones using optical lines
  • IP phone using ADSL line
  • Landline and IP phones using CATV lines
  • ISDN
  • Subscribed telephones that use commercial power from outlets

Telephones that may be available

  • Public telephone
  • Analog telephones such as black telephones
  • Telephones that respond to power outages (single-function telephones without answering machine response functions, etc.)
  • Telephones with their own spare power supplies

Mobile phones (smartphones, feature phone, etc.)

  • You can use it. However, if a failure occurs in the surrounding base stations, etc., it may not be possible to connect.

Net119 Emergency Call System

  • It can be used in the same way as reporting from a mobile phone.

FAX119

  • If your fax machine is not powered, you will not be able to arrive or depart.
  • It may be available if power is supplied by a spare power supply or the like.

Inquiries regarding power outages

  • Information such as the restoration of power outages cannot be provided by the fire department.
  • No. 119 is emergency calls for recognizing a disaster, so please refrain from making inquiries.
