List of suitable mark grant facilities in Yokohama City
As of January 9, 2024, 66 suitable marks have been issued to hotels and inns in Yokohama City.
When staying in Yokohama, please make sure that the accommodation is marked with a suitable mark.

What is a suitable mark?
Based on applications from hotels, inns, etc., the fire department examines and issues that are issued when it conforms to certain standards for fire prevention and disaster prevention stipulated in the Fire Service Law and Building Standards Law are appropriate marks.
In addition, facilities to which the appropriate mark has been issued can post the appropriate mark on the front desk or website.
In addition, facilities subject to the appropriate mark system are those with three or more floors excluding the basement and 30 or more.
In Yokohama-shi, we started notice on October 1, 2014.
Type of suitable mark
There are two types of suitable marks, gold and silver.
If the “Appropriate Mark (silver)” is obtained for three consecutive years, a “Appropriate Mark (Gold)” will be issued.
