Yokohama-shi disaster preparedness plan

In accordance with Article 42 of the Basic Act on Disaster Countermeasures (Act No. 223 of 1961), disaster preparedness plan City is a regional disaster preparedness plan formulated by the Yokohama City Disaster Prevention Council as a basic and comprehensive plan for dealing with disasters in Motoichi.

evacuation shelter Stockpile

Among elementary and junior high schools that are close to the citizens, we are developing schools designated as evacuation sites in the event of a disaster. We store disaster prevention equipment, evacuation supplies, food, etc.

Ward office disaster storage

It is a supply base for evacuation shelter. In the event of a disaster, it will be a storage base for each area and a receiving base from other cities. In addition, it is stored at the fire branch office as a decentralized storage area of the ward office.

Stockpiling by area

It is a replenishment base for supplies to each ward. The city area is largely divided and installed by area.

evacuation area

When a large fire due to an earthquake or the like occurs and the spread of fire spreads, it is designated as a place to evacuate to protect life and body from the radiant heat and smoke.

Helicopter sign

The name of the school is written on the roof of a school building in evacuation shelter, so that it can be seen from the sky.

Underground water tank for disasters

Normally, it is an underground water tank where fresh tap water flows as part of the water pipe. When the water pressure decreases, the inflow and outflow valve closes, and drinking water is stored. As a water supply base in areas far from the reservoir, we are developing mainly at elementary and junior high schools in evacuation shelter.

Emergency hydrant

An earthquake-resistant pipeline is installed from an earthquake-resistant water distribution trunk line, and an emergency water supply system is installed at the tip to supply water to elementary and junior high schools, ward offices and parks in evacuation shelter.

Emergency wells

Wells that can be provided to local people as domestic water such as washing water (washing, etc.) in the event of a disaster are designated as emergency wells. The wells that have cooperated have a plate of "House for Disaster Emergency Well Cooperation".
