Last Updated May 20, 2021

Criteria for selecting areas to be issued evacuation warning along with the announcement of "Earthquake Disaster Warning Information"

[Criteria for Selection of Target Areas]
Based on the results of a survey of cliffs conducted by geological experts, if a landslide occurs, it will cause significant damage to houses.
We extracted possible cliffs (*Note 1) and selected them as areas subject to evacuation warning.

(* Note 1) When a landslide occurs, damage such as damage to buildings close to the cliff or inflow of earth and sand from window glass may occur.
In some cases, cliffs where damage to human life is expected to occur

Specifically,

○Analysis of factors such as the cause of landslides, the amount of earth and sand when cliffs collapse, and the magnitude of damage to buildings close to cliffs.

◆What is the cause of the landslide?

◆What is the amount of earth and sand when a cliff collapses?
When a landslide occurs, the amount of soil that slides off the slope or falls in a lump is classified by size.

◆What is the magnitude of damage to buildings close to cliffs?
When a landslide occurs, whether or not the collapsed earth and sand reaches the house is classified according to the size of the damage.

○Check the presence or absence of houses that may cause damage in the event of a landslide, and the distance between cliffs and buildings.
Depending on the height and slope of the cliff, the area affected by the landslide is further set in detail, and the houses are within each affected area.
Check if there is any problem.
