Background of the Study
Business Overview
In the Yokohama LED security light business (LED security light installation and maintenance business), in order to ensure local safety and security, we are responding to problems such as non-lighting of LED security lights owned by the city and rebuilding of steel pipe pole security lights that have deteriorated over time. We are also constructing new LED security lights based on applications from Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations. In addition to receiving donations of LED security lights from developers and others, we also provide subsidies to support the maintenance and management of local security lights owned by Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations.
Overview of Yokohama LED security light business
Considering issues and new business methods
In fiscal 2009, we promoted the use of LEDs for security lights, which were previously managed by Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations. At present, we have contracted with several companies, including ESCO companies, for about 180,000 LED security lights around the city, responding to problems such as updating lighting, responding to malfunctions such as non-lighting, and aging steel pipe pole security lights We are rebuilding.
On the other hand, there are many issues such as dealing with aging steel pipe poles (rebuilding, removal, etc.), renewing lighting fixtures that have passed the life of the light source, and leveling the financial burden.
Therefore, in order to continuously maintain LED security lights in Yokohama City from FY2027 onward after the end of the ESCO project, comprehensive maintenance of approximately 180,000 lights (renewal of equipment, reception of reports, on-site surveys, defect repairs, new construction and removals, various communication coordination, etc.) will be examined, including the introduction of PPP methods.
