About 2024 Yokohama-shi LED security light business [news]

・Project costs are increasing year by year due to soaring prices, etc., but expenses that cannot be reduced, such as electricity bills, are squeezing the entire project cost. For this reason, the city is focusing on responding to the maintenance of existing security lights.
・As we think that it is necessary to push forward appropriate placement of security light aiming at well-balanced arrangement of the whole light of city, we would like understanding, cooperation of local all of you sequentially.

Regarding LED security lights installed by the city, we ask Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations to monitor daily activities, such as finding and communicating breakdowns and removing surrounding vegetation.
Many steel pipe-type security lights transferred from Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations have been installed, and some have deteriorated significantly. In order to prevent damage caused by collapse, if you find a pole that has deteriorated due to watching activities, etc., please provide information promptly.

Please be aware in advance that steel pipe poles that have deteriorated significantly will be removed promptly in consideration of safety.
After removal, in accordance with the Yokohama City Security Light Installation Standards, only removal, 2 relocation of lamps to nearby telephone poles, and (3) rebuilding (remaintenance of steel pipe pole type security light).
Since the security lights installed by the city are based on telephone poles co-mounted type, rebuilding is limited to when there is no telephone pole nearby. In order to obtain the understanding and cooperation of local residents, Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations, we ask for your cooperation. Note that the steel pipe pole currently installed is large (approximately 50 cm in diameter), so it may not be possible to install it in the same place and surrounding area as the existing steel pipe pole pole.

・We do not accept applications from individuals. Please consult with your Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations.

・Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations is required to confirm the conditions that can be installed in the "Guidelines for 2024 Application for New Construction of LED Security Lights on Telephone poles" and "Guidelines for 2024 Installation of LED Security Lights". ②Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations and residential land developers will independently install LED security lights.
After consultation with Yokohama City in advance, there is a system that allows you to donate security lights to Yokohama City after installation (steel pipe pole-type security lights are not covered by the donation system).
