When an infectious disease such as tuberculosis or O-157 occurs, it is important to prevent the spread of the infection. For this reason, Health and Welfare Center is working to prevent the spread of infectious diseases by receiving reports of infectious diseases from medical institutions.

Tuberculosis

It is an infection caused by a patient with pulmonary tuberculosis directly inhalation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis released into a splash such as cough. In the past, it was called a national disease, but in Asahi Ward, about 30 new people are affected each year. If symptoms similar to a cold, such as cough, sputum, or fever, persist for nearly two weeks, please consult a medical institution.

Pathogenic Escherichia coli O157

Escherichia coli is a bacterium that often exists in the human intestine, but some of them cause enteritis such as severe diarrhea, and are called pathogenic Escherichia coli. "pathogenic Escherichia coli O157" is a typical pathogenic Escherichia coli that produces strong toxins called verotoxin, and is transmitted orally.

Norovirus

Gastroenteritis due to norovirus is characterized by occurring from winter to early spring. One or two days after eating, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea (sage), and mild fever occur. Norovirus is characterized by secondary contamination from the stool and vomiting of patients.

Flu

Influenza can cause fever of 38 ° C or higher, headache, joint pain, muscle pain, etc., as well as symptoms such as sore throat, nasal discharge, and cough. In addition, the characteristic of influenza is that bronchitis, pneumonia, etc. often occur and become severe. It is popular every year from late December to early March.

Although overseas travel opportunities have increased, there are many infectious diseases that are not found in Japan overseas, and those who travel to such areas should be careful, such as obtaining information on local infectious diseases in advance. Is required.
