[3rd] Concluded a partnership agreement with Toin Gakuen, an educational corporation, and conducted an environmental delivery class using perovskite solar cells at Iron Elementary School.
Last Updated May 10, 2024
This time, we have concluded a cooperation agreement with Toin Gakuen, a school corporation, to promote the spread of decarbonization using perovskite solar cells (*) for Aoba residents. In addition, as an initiative based on the agreement, we started an environmental class for Municipal Elementary Schools in the ward using solar cells.
The first school became an iron elementary school with a connection to Toin Gakuen, and was held on April 23 for sixth graders. In addition to receiving a lecture by Professor Kazushi Ikegami of the Faculty of Medicine and Engineering, Toin University of Yokohama, I was curiously observing how solar cells were actually picked up, experienced the thinness, and generated power from sunlight entering the classroom. Was being watched. At the end of the class, opinions were exchanged on how to use it, and various ideas such as `` attach it to an umbrella '' and `` put it on the roof of a chicken hut '' popped out, and it was a very exciting time for children. Isn't it?
GREEN x EXPO 2027 is scheduled to be held at all 30 Municipal Elementary Schools schools in the city by fiscal 2027. Everyone in elementary school student, please look forward to it.
This environmental delivery class is an initiative that could only be realized with the great help of Toin Gakuen. I would like to thank you again.
Through this initiative, Aoba Ward will spread perovskite solar cells, a technology developed in the ward, to children, and expand the circle of behavioral change toward the realization of a decarbonized society.
