What is the designated manager system?
With designated manager system, a part of the Local Autonomy Law was revised in June 2003 (enforced in September of the same year).
Regarding the management and operation of "public facilities", a designated manager system has been introduced, and it is possible to entrust the management and operation of facilities, which were previously limited to public organizations, etc., can be entrusted to a wide range of organizations, including private businesses It is now possible.
