Response to COVID-19 infection at evacuation sites and evacuation centers

evacuation sites and evacuation shelters in the event of a typhoon or major earthquake tend to meet the three conditions of "sealing, dense, and close" are likely to spread the infection.
In the event of a disaster, Nishi Ward will work to prevent virus infection, such as ventilation, hand washing, thorough cough etiquette, and securing space to live in the event of a disaster.
Inhabitants of a ward, we ask for your cooperation in order to reduce the risk of new coronavirus infection, giving top priority to protecting themselves from disasters.

Preparation in advance

To reduce the risk of infection

・If you can secure your safety at home in the event of a disaster, please try to evacuate at home to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection. Prepare stockpiles such as food and toilet packs in preparation for evacuation at home.
・Consider evacuation to relatives and friends' homes as well as the evacuation sites evacuation centers established by the government.
・Please include masks, disinfectants, thermometers, etc. in the emergency list you bring when evacuating to evacuation sites / evacuation center.
