Fireproofing promotion business of town

In response to the "Earthquake and Fire Countermeasures Policy in the Earthquake Disaster Prevention Strategy" formulated in March 2014, the “No-Michimachi Improvement Project (Old Business)” was expanded. In areas where there is a high risk of fire, we aim to realize a "city that is difficult to burn and non-flammable towns" by making buildings non-combustible.

In Minami Ward, there are two districts that are promoting disaster prevention community development in response to the local community development promotion regulations.

For the areas of Miharudai Neighborhood Associations and Neighborhood Associations, we have received organizational certification (March 2009) and plan certification (March 2010) under the Local Community Development Promotion Ordinance.

In 2014, we received group registration under the Local Community Development Promotion Ordinance, and have continued discussions and practices led by Neighborhood Associations officers. After that, in June 2019, we received organizational certification and plan certification, aiming to be a "town where people of various generations can live with peace of mind, long-lasting, and through efforts to create disaster prevention towns."

In addition to the above two districts, before the start of the “Ie Michimachi Improvement Project”, in the Nakamuracho 3-chome district (residential district improvement project, end 2012) and Karasawa / Hiraraku / Hachimancho districts (currently active), Disaster prevention town development led by the government is being carried out.
