Reuse tableware

Reuse tableware is a tableware that can be washed and used over and over again, and is used instead of disposable cups, plates and chopsticks.
By using it instead of disposable containers at events that provide food and drink, garbage generated at events etc. can be reduced significantly.

Boxes for collecting papers such as newspapers and cloths such as used clothes have been installed at the following public facilities. The use date and time of use vary from facility to facility.

Takeyama Elementary School Community House / Green Tennis Garden / community hall / Midori Ward Office (next to the night holiday reception entrance)


Paper to be collected and how to put it out

  • Newspapers, folding handbills, magazines
    • Newspapers (including folding leaflets) and magazines separately and tie them with paper strings.
  • Paper packs of milk, etc. (excluding those with aluminum backs)
    • Wash, open, and put the dried one. Items with aluminum back cannot be collected, so please take them out as "burnable garbage" on the normal collection date.
  • Other paper (wrapped paper, memo paper, empty box of candy, etc.)
    • Put it in a paper bag (if not, a translucent plastic bag).


Cloths to be collected and how to put them out

This is used cloth. Tie it with a string or put it in a translucent plastic bag.
Futon cotton, pillows, leather products, etc. cannot be collected, so please put them out as "burnable garbage" on the normal collection day.

Recycling of small home appliances

We collect and recycle small household appliances such as mobile phones, digital cameras, and personal computers for the purpose of effective use of resources and domestic circulation.

Hakusan District Center / Apita Nagatsuta Store / Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau Green Office / Midori Ward Office (in front of the elevator on the 4th floor)


Items to be collected

Products that operate on electricity and batteries of less than 30 cm in length that enter the 30 cm x 15 cm inlet


Precautions

  • For products that contain personal information, please delete personal information.
  • Do not put small household appliances in bags, etc., but remove batteries before taking out.
  • Parking fees are not eligible for reduction if you come to the Midori Ward Office only by using the small home appliance collection box.


Small rechargeable batteries (rechargeable batteries)

A collection box for small rechargeable batteries (rechargeable batteries) is installed.

Items to be collected

  • Small rechargeable batteries (rechargeable batteries)
    • Nickel batteries
    • Nickel-metal hydride batteries
    • Lithium-ion batteries

*Small rechargeable batteries are marked by a recycling mark (three arrow mark) as mark.
*Collection at the ward office is limited to small items weighing within 500 grams.



Precautions

  • Insulate the +-pole with vinyl tape, etc., and then put it in the collection box.
  • Mobile batteries are intended for small batteries for charging mobile phones and smartphones. Large items such as those used in vehicles cannot be collected. Please consult with the manufacturer or dealer.
  • Batteries for electric assist bicycles cannot be collected at the ward office because the collection box is small.Collection cooperating stores (check the bicycle dealer and search.) (External Site)Or please contact the Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau Green Office.
  • For various batteries other than the electric assist bicycle battery, consult with the supplier or a collection cooperating store.

  • Alkaline batteries, manganese batteries, lithium primary batteries, and coin batteries (form symbol CR or BR), please put out only the batteries on the collection day of the dry batteries (the same day as burnable garbage).
  • Parking fees are not eligible for reduction if you come to the Midori Ward Office only by using a small rechargeable battery collection box.



Used ink cartridge

We have installed a collection box for used ink cartridges.

Items to be collected

Genuine ink cartridges from five printer manufacturers (Brother, Canon, Dell, Epson, Japan HP).



Precautions

  • Please put the genuine ink cartridges of each company to perform advanced recycling processing at companies participating in the homecoming project.
  • Do not put significant damage or modified products, as they may interfere with recycling.
  • Do not put anything other than ink cartridges. Toner cartridges are not eligible.
  • Please bring your bags and boxes with you.
  • Parking fees are not eligible for reduction if you come to the Midori Ward Office only by using the ink cartridge collection box.
