As an important promoter of sports administration in Yokohama City, we are developing sports recreation projects in cooperation with local residents, and play the following roles in the Midori Ward as a local sports coordinator.

The Midori Ward Sports Promotion Committee Liaison Council holds regular meetings by 11 chairpersons selected for each district to make decisions as members of the Midori Ward Sports Promotion Committee. In addition, the “Planning Committee” is responsible for planning and managing events and training programs held by the Midori Ward Sports Promotion Committee, and the Public Relations Committee, which is responsible for publishing annual public relations papers.

Midori Ward Sports Promotion Committee Liaison Council conducts the following activities and projects throughout the year. We carry out a wide range of activities, from the holding and operation of the “Kenmin Festival” in each district, which is a sporting event rooted in the community, to events held as our ward council, and the operation and cooperation of global sports events held in Yokohama.
