We gave a greeting at the opening ceremony of the 50th anniversary project "2023 Shanghai Week", a project commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Yokohama Shanghai Friendship City Alliance.
I am very honored to have held a large-scale exchange event between the two cities in Yokohama during the major milestone year. We would like to thank the members of the Yokohama Maritime Friendship Committee and everyone who made efforts in holding the event.
The venue was a great success with programs where you can experience the culture of Shanghai and China, such as playing Chinese musical instruments, stage events such as Tai Chi, and booth exhibitions.
I sincerely hope that this event will lead to further exchanges among a wide range of generations in Yokohama and Shanghai, as well as further friendship and friendship in the future.
