Greetings were given at the opening ceremony of the “2023 Shanghai Week”, a project commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Yokohama Shanghai Friendship City Alliance.
I am very honored to have a large-scale exchange event between the two cities in Yokohama during a major milestone year. We would like to thank the members of the Yokohama Shanghai Friendship Committee and everyone who worked hard to hold the event.
The venue was a great success with a program where you can experience Shanghai and Chinese culture, such as Chinese musical instrument performances, stage events such as Tai Chi, and booth exhibitions.
We sincerely hope that this event will lead to further exchanges among a wide range of generations in Yokohama and Shanghai, and to further friendship and friendship in the future.
