I met Tsumura, Representative of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Japan Office.
The WFP is an international organization whose mission is to eradicate hunger and poverty through food aid. It was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2020 for its emergency food assistance to those affected by conflicts and natural disasters.
We have been working closely with each other for nearly 30 years since we opened the WFP Japan Office in Minato Mirai, and we will continue to ask for further support for the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) and GREEN x EXPO 2027 held in Yokohama.
