Japan's largest disaster prevention event, "Bosai Kokutai 2023," was held in Yokohama City and greeted as the mayor of the venue.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Great Kanto Earthquake, and 390 organizations and companies from all over the country, the highest ever, exhibited. The number of visitors was very large, and I felt a high interest in disaster prevention.
The city of Yokohama will continue to work hard to create disaster-resistant towns, community development and human resources, aiming to be a safe and secure city.
