The place where anyone can obtain drinking water when the water is cut off due to a disaster is the "disaster water station".
In Water Works Bureau, reservoirs, underground water tanks for disasters, emergency hydrants and earthquake-resistant hydrants are installed as water stations in the event of a disaster. In case of emergency, let's check the water station near you with evacuation shelter.
In addition, we can confirm place of water station at the time of disaster in water supply map or Hama Pyeong Map.

This is a facility that distributes drinking water produced at the water purification plant to each household.
In the event of an earthquake disaster, approximately 190,000 cubic meters of drinking water will be secured, equivalent to the amount required by citizens for one week, and Water Works Bureau staff will install temporary faucets and supply water to citizens.
Also, water vehicle ※It is also used as a place to replenish water.
Reservoirs that are ready for water supply will be announced on "Nobori".
※After filling water in the reservoir, water vehicle will give priority to supplying water to emergency medical facilities.
Overview of Reservoir
Streamer
Underground water tanks for disasters, together with reservoirs, have been developed so that drinking water can be secured within a radius of about 1 km, and are installed in elementary and junior high schools such as evacuation shelter, parks and Minatomirai districts.
This is an underground water tank where tap water flows as part of the water distribution pipe. When the water pressure drops, the outflow valve closes, and drinking water is stored.
For about three days after the disaster, a temporary faucet can be installed and supplied by local residents.
In addition, Yokohama-shi plumbing cooperative assists establishment.
"signs" are installed in places where the underground water tank for disasters is located.

Underground water tank for disasters
Sign
Emergency hydrants are installed at elementary and junior high schools in evacuation shelter.
In the event of a disaster, a temporary water supply system is attached to a pipe that is resistant to earthquakes and supplies water.
From the fourth day of the disaster, Water Works Bureau officials will install temporary faucets in line with the Yokohama Pipe Works Cooperative, taking into account the water outage situation.
Emergency hydrants that are ready for water supply will be notified by "Nobori".
Emergency hydrant
Streamer
Seismic hydrants are installed in evacuation shelter, where facilities such as underground water tanks for disasters or school water tanks are not installed.
We are proceeding with maintenance from the distribution pipe to the outdoor drinking fountain so that emergency water supply can be made earthquake-resistant, and installation of 48 places has been completed by 2023 (Reiwa 5).
We plan to continue developing earthquake-resistant hydrants.
A "signboard" is installed in places where the earthquake-resistant hydrant is located.
