What kind of event is it?

This is an event where you can enjoy learning about water sources that support the water supply in Yokohama, the work of watershed forests, the importance of conservation, and the water cycle in Yokohama, with experimental booths and woodworking experiences using thinned wood from the watershed forest.

Booth introduction

Introduction of Water Resources in Yokohama

This panel introduces the five water sources that support the water supply in Yokohama, the work of watershed forests, the importance of conservation, and the efforts that Water Works Bureau is doing to protect the watershed forest.
We will also exhibit an experiment kit "Forest Treasure Box" that can reproduce the water source recharge function that stores, purify, and adjust the amount flowing into the river.

Log cutting experience corner & woodworking experience corner

Let's cut the logs and make a coaster

You can cut water source forest thinning * (hinoki logs) to make original coasters.
What is thinned wood *? Wood produced when thinning (thinned) trees in the forest.

Enjoy decorating with natural materials.

Using natural materials such as acorns and branches, you can enjoy the coasters made by log cutting experience and decorating wood that can be used as door plates!

Filtration Experiment Corner

This is a booth by Metawater Corporation, which manages and operates Kawai Purification Plant.
You can learn how the water brought from the water source is cleaned at a water purification plant using an experimental set.

Let's have a drink together! Tap water in Yokohama

I'll hand out cold tap water.
How about safe and high quality tap water in Yokohama on a hot summer day?

Introduction of Doshimura & Product Exhibition

This is an introduction and a product exhibition of Michishi Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, where Yokohama City owns a watershed forest.
We offer a lot of fresh vegetables and specialty products such as Cresson grown in the rich nature of Doshi Village.

"Water Day" booth

"Water Day" is a joint booth of three stations, Water Works Bureau, Environmental Planning Bureau and Road and Highway Bureau.
We will introduce videos and leaflets about how the water circulating around us is involved in our lives and the importance of "water cycle".

Woodchip square

It is a booth covered with thinned wood (wood chips) from the water source forest!
In front of the square, there is also a lawn area where you can relax freely.
Please enjoy a space like a forest while being healed by the scent of cypress.

I feel like a summer festival ♪ Fair corner

Challenge the game at the fair corner!
・Super bowl scooping
・Doll scooping
・You can enjoy water balloon fishing.♪

Participation in the seal rally is required for the second and subsequent challenges.

How to participate

★ You can play at the fair corner as many stickers you have collected!
 In addition, those who have collected all the seals will receive a Hama Pyeong key ring! 
★ First of all, let's get a "seal rally mount" at the entrance of the venue!
★ Seals are the target booths ("Introduction to Yokohama's water source", "log cutting experience corner & woodworking experience corner", "Water Day Booth"
 Answer the quiz at 4 locations in the "Filtration Experiment Corner"), and get it!

A large collection of characters related to the water of Yokohama! Let's take a picture together!
