Emergency repair support (partial assistance) for damaged houses

When a disaster occurs and Yokohama City applies the Disaster Relief Act, we will carry out emergency repairs for houses that are difficult to use as they are.

We are not carrying out emergency repairs at present!

When a disaster occurs, we will inform you about the application of this system at any time.
Please note that if repairs are made voluntarily from the occurrence of a disaster to the start of the system, it will not be eligible for assistance.

Outline of emergency repair system

When the project is implemented

In the event of a large-scale natural disaster such as a major earthquake or heavy rain occurs and a large number of damage occurs, if Kanagawa Prefecture decides to carry out "rescue under the Disaster Relief Law" and will provide various housing support.

Targets

  • Repair of the house where the applicant currently resides
  • Affliction certificateThe degree of damage must be one of "completely destroyed", "large-scale partially destroyed", "medium-scale partially destroyed", "half-broken", or "quasi-half-broken".
  • It is expected that emergency repairs will no longer require evacuation to shelters or use of temporary housing.
  • In the case of "half-broken" or "quasi-half-broken", the household must not be able to perform emergency repairs with their own resources (self-reported)

Scope of emergency repair

Repair of essential parts (rooms, kitchens, toilets, etc.) damaged by the disaster and are necessary for daily life activities that have been damaged by the disaster, and emergency repairs will be carried out in places where emergency repairs are appropriate.

  • Replacement of sanitary facilities such as broken toilets and bathtubs (the part with toilet bowl cleaning function is not allowed)

Construction contract method

The applicant obtains an estimate from the repair contractor, and the city and the repair contractor conclude a construction contract directly. (up to the limit)

When the construction amount exceeds the limit

The contract is divided into two.

  • With the amount up to the limit, the city and the repair contractor sign a construction contract.
  • The remaining amount will be contracted by the applicant and the repair contractor (own expense).

About after construction

The applicant does not have any subsequent procedures because the city and the repair contractor have contracted for construction.
However, if you contract with a repair contractor for the part exceeding the limit and have the construction work, you will need to pay the fee for each.
