Role of wastewater treatment facilities
There are two types of landfill: an inland type that uses inland terrain to provide water shielding function and seawalls on the sea surface. Regardless of which method is used, a “water treatment facility” is required to properly treat leachate from the disposal site.
In addition to landfill, leachate leachate treatment is carried out at seven locations where landfills have been completed.
