About separation and discharge guidance
Last update date June 8, 2020
What is the separation and discharge guidance?
It is obligatory to dispose of garbage according to the classification and discharge method specified in the municipal solid waste treatment plan.
Regarding thorough separation, household garbage provides information on residents' briefing sessions, raise awareness through leftover garbage, and guidance on discharge at collection sites.
In addition, for business-related garbage, we have been calling for separation of garbage, such as conducting inspections at incineration plants, but there are cases where the separation rules have not been observed yet.
Motoichi staff provides classification discharge instruction to have you follow separation rule necessary for formation of recycling society.
Flow of guidance on separation and discharge
If there is any garbage that cannot be separated by the staff during collection work.
At a later date, we will collect and investigate from the collection point, and identify the households that have disposed of undivided garbage.
After that, if it can be identified, prepare a document and ask for guidance on visiting.
Scenario survey landscape
We will check the garbage that has not been sorted by the garbage that has been put out one by one.
While separating one by one at the site, we will look at uninterrupted questions.
After opening investigation, if the unseparable garbage is not bad
A red sticker stating that the survey has been completed is affixed and placed at the collection point.
We will look around multiple depots and investigate. 。
If it is opened and an individual can be identified, we will make a separate visit guidance document.
Penalties System
In Yokohama-shi, when we put out garbage, it is obligatory by the regulations to follow the determined classification classification and discharge method that was determined by both citizens and businesses.
From May 1, 2008, a system has been implemented to impose penalties (2,000 yen fine) on citizens and businesses that do not adhere to the sorting rules even if repeated guidance is given.
It is intended for those who do not try to sort even though they can be separated, and if the classification is incorrect due to misunderstanding.
