Awareness-raising activities related to garbage collection by category and others

The Minami Ward Office holds business trip consultations on enlightenment of waste reduction and separation, as well as other questions.
We are also calling on visitors to health check-up infants to cooperate in reducing and separating garbage.

In order to encourage more people to cooperate with the Yokohama 3R Dream Initiative, we are conducting educational activities at various commercial facilities and public facilities.
Major activities include requests for drying and discharge of pruned branches in kitchen garbage, display panels on reducing food loss, and consulting on garbage separation (explaining questions about separation rules).

While cleaning the sidewalks in the area with the environmental business promotion committee members of each district, we check the situation of the depot and go around.
In addition, we hold opinion exchange meeting to maintain better depot and play a part in regional exchange.

Every day, the staff engaged in garbage collection goes to elementary, junior high schools, local meeting places, etc., and gives lectures on garbage separation.
In courses for elementary school studenｔ, we also have costume shows, picture-story shows, and collection experiences using real collection vehicles.
