Pre-confirmation of septic tanks
Installation of septic tanks in sewerage treatment areas is not permitted in principle by law and regulations.
Please confirm beforehand whether applicable place is out of processing area from Yokohama-shi administration map reporting system (outside site).
In addition, in the treatment area, if it is necessary to install a septic tank, such as the front road is a private road and the sewer pipe is undeveloped.
Please talk with sewer River Bureau Sewer Management Division (Phone: 045-671-2829) beforehand.

In Motoichi, we adopt prior examination system to perform procedure of septic tank setting before building confirmation application and are
Notification from the building supervisor or designated confirmation inspection organization to the health center director according to the provisions of Article 93, Paragraph 5 of the Building Standards Law, based on this document examination.
And the opinion from the health center director pursuant to the provisions of Article 93, Paragraph 6 of the Building Standards Law shall be replaced with an opinion to the building supervisor or a designated confirmation inspection organization.
1.Flow of installation
Flow until the start of use of septic tanks
※For installation work, please ask a contractor who has registered a septic tank construction business in Kanagawa Prefecture or has submitted a special septic tank construction business.
We can confirm list of septic tank construction business registration supplier in HP (outside site) of Kanagawa construction industry section.
Please refer to Kanagawa Construction Industry Division about special septic tank construction company.
2.Application for installation
- The procedure for setting up a septic tank includes the procedure for setting up a septic tank with a building confirmation (hereinafter referred to as the “joint application procedure”).
There is a separate application septic tank installation procedure (hereinafter referred to as “separate application procedure”) without building confirmation.
When installing, prepare the following documents in the prescribed number of copies.

Please submit septic tank setting plan (three copies) before applying for a building confirmation.

Please fill in the location of the septic tank, introduction and drainage system.
Please fill in dimensions, scale and floor area on the floor plan of each floor.

After confirming the site, please fill in the type of discharge facility and the distinction between public and private.

Precautions
- When submitting application documents for septic tank installation, the person in charge may be absent, so please make a reservation in advance.
For reservations, please call the Business Waste Management Section Processing Facility Guidance Section (Phone: 045-671-2547). - If the number of persons to be processed exceeds 500 (200 in the designated area), in addition to the procedures set forth above, in addition to the procedures specified above.

3.Procedure for completion of construction
When the installation of the septic tank is completed, please submit a copy of the certificate of the septic tank construction completion registration form and the septic tank equipment engineer supervised on site immediately.

5.Procedure for change

When change of structure of septic tank or change of scale (change of treatment method, change of person targeted for treatment or change of daily average sewage volume 10% or more) occurs, please submit.

6.Submission of maintenance status report
The manager of the deemed septic tank (single treatment septic tank) with 201 or more persons to be treated and the combined septic tank with 51 or more persons to be treated are the previous fiscal year (from April 1 of the previous year to March 31 of that year) Please describe the maintenance status of the maintenance in the septic tank maintenance status report, and submit it by June 30 every year.

7.Procedure for suspension, resumption, and abolition
