Septic tank notification

Installation of septic tanks in sewerage treatment areas is not permitted in principle by law and regulations.
Please confirm beforehand whether applicable place is out of processing area from Yokohama-shi administration map reporting system (outside site).
In addition, in the treatment area, if it is necessary to install a septic tank, such as the front road is a private road and the sewer pipe is undeveloped.

The procedure for setting up a septic tank includes the procedure for setting up a septic tank with a building confirmation (hereinafter referred to as the “joint application procedure”).
There is a separate application septic tank installation procedure (hereinafter referred to as “separate application procedure”) without building confirmation.

  　In the case of a type-certified septic tank based on the Septic Tanks Act or a type conformity certified septic tank based on the Building Standards Law.
  　Please attach a copy of the certificate.
  　In the case of advanced treatment type septic tank, please attach a copy of the grade report.

  　Please fill in the orientation, road, and target building.

• Layout plan, building floor plan (combined application procedure: 1 copy, separate application procedure: 2 copies)
  　Please fill in the location of the septic tank, introduction and drainage system.
  　Please fill in dimensions, scale and floor area on the floor plan of each floor.
  　Fill in the drainage system from each sewage generation point (each toilet, each hand washing place, etc.) to flow into the septic tank.

  　After confirming the site, please fill in the type of discharge facility and the distinction between public and private.
