At Muji, which is developed by Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd., sells PET bottle beverages sold to aluminum cans, which are recycled materials. Aluminum cans have a high recycling rate of approximately 98% in Japan and a horizontal recycling rate from cans to cans, making it possible to recycle. In addition, aluminum cans have been changed in the hope that aluminum cans can be shielded and transmitted is reduced, so the shelf life will be longer and reduced in food loss.

[ECO cup] with a biomass degree of 80% or more]
Nisshin Foods uses "Biomass ECO Cup" under the "Cup Noodle" brand.
By replacing the conventional petrochemical-derived plastics with plant-derived biomass plastics, we are replacing some of the plastics derived from plant-based biomass plastics.
By raising the biomass level to 81%, the CO2 emissions from raw material procurement to cup production, transportation and disposal (incineration) are reduced by approximately 16%.

Since 2006, Uniy of Pan Pacific International Holdings Inc. (PIH) Group has introduced 100% biomass plastic (poly lactate) transparent cases and fruit cups made of 100% biomass plastic (poly lactate) and fruit cups at all of its stores since 2006.
[Recycling loop of used plastic containers and packaging]
In order to reduce and recycle household garbage, we collect used plastic containers and packaging at all stores. All collected containers and packaging are recycled as recycled resources on domestic circulation routes.
The annual collection amount in 2018 was 2,555 tons for PET bottles and 273 tons for styrofoam trays.

PET bottle collection machines have been installed at some Seven-Eleven stores in the city!
About PET bottle recycling business
Plastics, which are indispensable for daily life, have become a major problem in the world from the perspectives of marine pollution, depletion of natural resources, and greenhouse gas emissions.
Seven-Eleven and the Nippon Foundation have installed "PET bottle collection machines" at some stores in the city (scheduled to install about 120 stores by the end of January 2021) and recycle the collected PET bottles. We have begun efforts to recycle them into plastic bottles.
PET bottle collectors
・Hold the nanaco card over the collection machine (if you don't have a card, touch the screen) and put the plastic bottle in the open slot at the bottom of the screen!
・With a total of 5 PET bottles, 1nananaco points will be awarded.
・Remove the label and cap and rinse inside the plastic bottle.

A transparent plastic bottle up to 2l.

A Those that are crushed, colored, and contains contents
