Nanhonmoku Waste landfill Environmental Survey

We are continuously conducting surveys to confirm whether there is any environmental impact of the Minamihonmoku Waste landfill on the sea area.

Water quality surveys are conducted in the surrounding waters near the revetment of the Nanhonmoku Waste landfill and surrounding waters around the Nanhonmoku Waste landfill.
In addition, we have confirmed the impact on surrounding waters by using the results of measurements conducted by Environmental Pollution Monitoring Center, Environmental Management Division, Yokohama City Green Environment Bureau as a control zone.

The bottom quality survey is conducted around Minamihonmoku Pier.
In the period from the start of the survey to the end of FY2020, no impact on the surrounding environment from the disposal site was confirmed, so the survey was completed in FY2020.

Fish and shellfish surveys are conducted around the Minamihonmoku Waste landfill and in the control area (Honmoku Sea Fishing Facility Revetment).
The survey was completed in fiscal 2020 following the completion of the ex-post survey on “Environmental Impact Assessment for the 5th Block Waste landfill Landfill Project (tentative name)”.

The dioxin survey is conducted on the quality of the water inflow and discharge water in the Minamihonmoku waste landfill, the landfill area of the Minamihonmoku waste, and the wastewater treatment facility.
