Minamihonmoku Waste landfill Environmental Survey

We are continuously conducting surveys to confirm whether the environmental impact of the Minamihonmoku Waste landfill on the sea area.

Water quality surveys are conducted in the surrounding waters near the revetment of landfill, Minamihonmoku waste, and in the waters around landfill in Minamihonmoku waste.
In addition, the results of measurements off Honmoku conducted by Environmental Pollution Monitoring Center, Environmental Management Division, Yokohama City Green Environment Bureau, to confirm the impact on the surrounding waters.

A sediment survey is conducted around Minamihonmoku Pier.
During the period from the start of the survey until the end of FY2020, no impact on the surrounding environment was confirmed, so the survey was completed in FY2020.

Fish and shellfish (gai) surveys are being conducted around Minamihonmoku Waste landfill and in the control area (Honmaki fishing facility seawall).
The survey was completed in fiscal 2020 following the completion of the ex-post investigation of the “Environmental Impact Assessment for the landfill Landfill Project (tentative name)”.

In the dioxin survey, we conducted a survey on the water quality of the air in Minamihonmoku Waste landfill, Minamihonmoku Waste landfill, and the water discharge treatment facility.
