About activation of public space
Kannai Kangai-District has attractive public spaces such as Yokohama Park, Odori Park and Nihon Odori Avenue. In the city of Yokohama, we are working to create new urban areas in the area triggered by the relocation of the city hall, including the utilization of the former city hall block, the utilization of the former Education & Culture Center site, the redevelopment of the Yokohama Culture Gymnasium, and the redevelopment of roads around Minato Odori Avenue and Yokohama Culture Gymnasium. In addition to working on these projects to create new attractions in the district, in cooperation with local people and businesses, promote the use of public spaces such as parks and roads to encourage visitors to travel. We are working to spread the bustle throughout the district.
