International Strategic Comprehensive Special Zone

In September 2011, in order to promote the formation of an international competition base in the field of life innovation, the Governor of Kanagawa Prefecture, The Mayor of Yokohama and Mayor Kawasaki jointly applied to the Prime Minister for designation of the Special Zone for International Strategic Comprehensive.

We aim to achieve this goal in "Development and manufacture of innovative pharmaceuticals and medical devices and creation of health-related industries by global companies in response to the age of personalized and preventive medicine," and are promoting initiatives aimed at economic growth and the development of the life innovation industry while contributing to solving international issues.
