Based on Article 19-2 of the Act on Special Measures for Urban Regeneration (promulgated on April 5, 2002, enforced on June 1, 2002), the city center and seaside area of Yokohama consisting of national, prefectural, city and private businesses The Urban Renewal Emergency Development Council has created the "Yokohama Central and Seaside Area Development Plan" to strengthen international competitiveness.
