Q1 What do you use donations in this donation menu?
A We will use it for subsidies to maintain and utilize historical buildings in town planning, as well as installation and update signs and explanatory boards that introduce historical buildings in the city.

Q2 Even Yokohama citizens can pay their hometown tax in Yokohama?
A Of course, it is possible and is subject to tax credit. We believe that using a part of your tax for what you want to support, in other words, to be able to decide how to use the tax on your own. However, due to the revision of the Local Tax Law in 2019, donations from people in the residential area will not be able to provide return goods with consideration elements.

In 1988, Yokohama City established the "Summary of Town Development Utilizing History" and with the cooperation of its owners, it has been working on the utilization of conservation historic buildings. In fiscal 2013, we formulated the “Promotion of“ Town Development Utilizing History ”” that describes issues and future measures in promoting town development that makes use of the history and future measures in promotingconservation’s efforts with citizens.
The support through this hometown tax payment will be allocated to subsidies for preserving and utilizing historical buildings in town planning, as well as installation and updating signs and explanatory boards that introduce historical buildings in the city. To go.

In 2017, we updated the explanatory version of Akarengasoko (warehouse No. 1 and Warehouse No. 2) [Naka Ward New Port].
In FY2018, we updated the explanatory versions of the Basyamichi Otsu Building (former Tokio Marine & Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. Building [Minaminakadori, Naka-ku]) and Yokohama Shiji Church [Ogamicho, Naka-ku].
