This page is a back number.
The staff will introduce you to the daily events.
Back to the latest article
Although cold days continue, plum blossoms have begun to bloom on the premises of Environmental Activity Support Center, indicating the arrival of spring a little earlier.
The photos posted here were taken around the Environmental Activity Support Center Main Building, but you can see a variety of plum blossoms, such as winter solstice plums and wax plums.

When I went to take a picture, two white-eye were eating flower nectar. The plum blossom color and the vivid wings of the white-eye have a very good contrast.

The flowering peak of plums is mid-February. Please come and visit us.

Green curtain has been completed 2013.8.13

In mid-June, seedlings for green curtains were installed in the Environmental Activity Support Center Main Building, the seedlings grew rapidly and the green curtain was completed in more than a month.
From the left, it is a green curtain of morning glory, Unnan Yakuyaku, and Nigauri.

It's on the back of the green curtain. Morning glory and Unnan Yakuyaku have grown to the ceiling with considerable momentum and are already turning back.

As you can see in the picture, Nigauri has grown a lot of fruit.
In addition, mini tomato and sweet potato seedlings are also installed. On the left side of the photo, the mini tomato grew to about 3 meters in height.
The sweet potato hangs on the right side and has a "reverse curtain".

Like Nigauri, many tomatoes also grew.

The green curtains not only block direct sunlight, but also makes you feel refreshed just by looking at the green curtain. Also, it would be nice to be able to enjoy harvesting such as Nigauri as a by-product.

We have installed a green curtain! 2013.6.14

Green curtains have been installed in the Environmental Activity Support Center Main Building.
This is the fourth year of green curtain. Until last year, it was installed next to the entrance, but this year it will be installed on the Fujimi Plaza side where the sun is often sunny.
You can see it clearly from Fujimi Square!
This is a net used for curtains. These days, such a set of frameworks and nets can now be easily purchased at home centers. It is also very easy to assemble.
The first floor of the main building, where the net is installed, is high, so the two nets are connected vertically. The total length is about 4 meters. I hope that the green curtain will grow on the net.
Plants used for green curtains and state after net installation.
From now on, we will grow five kinds of unannan stark, morning glory, mini tomato, bitter gourd, and sweet potato. You can see various kinds of green curtains.
By the way, the sweet potato will become a "reverse curtain", and the leaves will be hung down. It's my first time to see the reverse curtain, so I'm looking forward to it.
Please take a look at it from Fujimi Plaza.

State of Agricultural University Lecture

This is a flower seedling used to make flower beds.
In advance, the layout of the flowerbed is discussed for each group, and the plants and number of plants to be used are also determined. There are colorful and cute flowers.

It looks like a flower bed. In this group, sticks are used to measure dimensions. Other groups use scoops ... There are various ways to do it.
After taking the dimensions, put the flower seedlings on the soil with the pot and see the balance. Even if you have any concerns, you can reposition it easily. After the arrangement has been adjusted, we will plant flower seedlings.

This is the completed flower bed!
The layout is different for each group, so it's interesting to watch.
After a while, the flowers will grow and the flowerbed becomes even more gorgeous.
If you go through the lawn square, be sure to look at the flower bed.
