Mizuta conservation Activity Encouragement Project

In Yokohama-shi, we utilize Yokohama green tax for a part of financial resources to stop green decrease and pass on "green town Yokohama" to the next generation and promote "Yokohama green up plan" . Based on this plan, paddy fields will be rented on condition that paddy rice cultivation will be continued for 10 years in order to preserve paddy fields with various functions such as the formation of a good agricultural landscape, conservation for biodiversity, and rainwater storage and recharge functions. We will implement the “Rice conservation Activity Encouragement Project” to pay incentives to those who cultivate paddy rice.

Those who rent paddy fields in Yokohama City and cultivate paddy rice, who intend to make rice for the next 10 years and fall under any of the following

(1) Establishment of lease right or use lease right based on the plan to promote farmland use accumulation based on Article 18, Paragraph 1 of the Act on Promotion of Farmland Intermediate Management Business
　　Among those who have received this, those who engage in conservation activities in the area
(2) Those who have been licensed by the Agricultural Committee for leasing and renting paddy fields based on Article 3 of the Agricultural Land Law, those who are engaged in conservation activities in the area
(3) Lease right or use lease right corresponding to Article 5 of the Supplementary Provisions and Article 9 of the Supplementary Provisions, and Article 10 of the Supplementary Provisions to partially amend the Agricultural Management Base Strengthening Promotion Act, etc.

(4) Those who rent and maintain farmland in accordance with Article 4 of the Act on Smooth Lending of Urban Farmland

Rice was planted in paddy fields

30 yen per m2 of paddy field where rice is planted (eg, 30,000 yen for 10a rice field)
※Fractions less than 1 m2 will be rounded down.

• Please manage the paddy fields well.
• If you cannot continue paddy field cultivation for any reason, please consult with the agricultural administration office immediately.
