What is a park protection society?
Management of imminent park which is "garden" of local everybody and is property of citizen's common property requires active cooperation of local everybody as well as Yokohama-shi setting up park. For this reason, for daily management such as cleaning and weeding of parks, we have formed a volunteer group centered on local residents and cooperated. . This is the "Park Protection Association".

What are the activities?
We perform cleaning and weeding of the park, watering flowers and trees, and calling for manners to park users. Among them are park protection associations that make use of the characteristics of the park to create flower beds to delightconservation, a forested area.
What kind of people are there?
People living in the area around the park are members. Some Neighborhood Associations officers and others have formed park protection associations at senior citizens' associations and children's associations.
How is it?
- When a park is created, Yokohama City will call on residents living in the vicinity to form a park protection society.
- We form park protection society by local everybody and have you report to Yokohama-shi.
About support to park protection society
In addition to the protection fee, the Park Protection Association provides support such as providing goods and providing know-how necessary for activities.
