We publicize activity of park protection society!

Yokohama Flower & Garden Festival 2024

We introduce 12 park protection associations in the city, including Okurayama Park (Kohoku Ward) and Hoshinocho Park (Kanagawa Ward), where they learn how to grow flower seedlings (annual plants and vines) that are comparable to the summer heat, and promote the activities of the Yokohama City Park Protection Association.

Introducing the activities of the park protection society in NHK hobby horticulture

At Okurayama Park (Kohoku Ward) and Hoshinocho Park (Kanagawa Ward), you will learn how to grow flower seedlings (annual plants, vines) that are comparable to the summer heat.
Monday, April 28 and Sunday, May 5 8:30-It will be broadcast on NHK E-Tele (Education TV).

We are looking for photos of the bulb mix flower bed!

We are looking for photos of bulb mix flower beds that are practiced in your park.
We will present original goods by lot from those who have applied!
Please feel free to apply!

[How to apply]
①Send from the application form of the electronic application and notification system.
②Send by e-mail to the recruitment reception address (ks-koenkadan@city.yokohama.jp)
③Print out and mail it to the Environmental Activities Business Division (6-50-10 Honmachi, Naka-ku, Yokohama City)

Points to note during Park Protection Association activities

We ask that you take the following basic measures to prevent COVID-19 infection, and work without overdoing it.

(1) Points to keep in mind when conducting park protection society activities
  ・If you are sick, let's refrain from doing activities.
  ・Let's choose the time of day and place for activity.
  ・Make sure to keep a moderate distance from those who are active.
  ・After the activity, wash your hands carefully with water and soap.

(2) Concept of wearing a mask
   Wearing a mask is based on your own judgment.
   Please take care to ensure that the individual's independent judgment is respected so that the mask is not forced to be put on or taken off against the will of the individual.
