Activation of public transportation such as railways and buses has become increasingly important in recent years due to the advent of a declining birthrate and aging society and a growing awareness of global warming issues.
In the Yokohama Urban Transportation Plan formulated in March 2008, Yokohama City has set a shift from private car traffic to public transport as one of its policy goals in order to alleviate traffic congestion and reduce environmental impact.
Therefore, we are implementing "mobility management" that encourages the voluntary shift from private car transportation to public transportation.
