State of Request Activities
Requested Activities: Director Sawaki, Yokohama City (left), JR East Yoshida (right)

On June 14, 2023, we submitted a request form to East Japan Passenger Road Co., Ltd. Yokohama branch office in order to encourage railway operators to actively promote the maintenance of home doors in the city. .
 From the company
"We aim to introduce home doors on the main lines of the Tokyo metropolitan area 330 stations and 758 by the end of FY2031, and prioritize them based on the use of platforms, the frequency of trains arriving and departing, the presence or absence of passing trains, etc. We are working hard to improve the station platform and strive to realize safer station platforms.
Due to the global shortage of semiconductors, we aim to achieve the target while carefully assessing the procurement status of materials necessary for home door development."
Thank you very much.
[Requests]
1 Steady development promotion for the early completion of home door development at all stations in the city
2 Higashi-Kannagawa Station and Sakuragicho Station, which are the nearest stations to facilities for the visually impaired.
For all homes, particularly early completion of home doors.
