FY2021 Survey on Comprehensive Transport Services in the Region

Survey on Comprehensive Transport Services in the Region

In Motoichi, as a conventional issue, the number of route buses has occurred due to a decrease in bus demand due to a decrease in the working-age population, etc., and furthermore, telework and online classes with the spread of new lifestyles With the decrease in the frequency of outings and opportunities due to mail-order sales, etc., the reduction of route buses has accelerated, which has had a major impact on local foot. (Main Issues 1: Maintaining bus networks in the city).
In addition, in suburban residential areas where rugged residential areas are spreading due to the decline in physical strength and the return of driver's licenses due to the aging of society, supermarkets in the daily living area, mainly for the elderly. Because it is difficult to move to convenience facilities such as hospitals and hospitals and on foot to bus stops, it is necessary to secure new transportation methods that can respond to meticulous and irregular needs. (Main issues 2: Securing transportation means in the community (within daily life), mainly for the elderly).
In this extremely difficult situation surrounding local transportation and means of transportation, transportation is the foundation for supporting citizens' lives and economic activities, and will also serve as a basis for suburban town development and sustainable growth and development of the city. Because this is an important policy issue, we must secure local transportation and transportation in the area where everyone can easily move.
On the other hand, in response to technological innovation, also known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, expectations for new mobility services using ICT are growing.
In November 2020, the Local Public Transport Revitalization and Revitalization Law was partially revised, and in order to maintain and secure means of transportation in the region, the conventional public transport service as `` local transportation designed by the local community '' In addition, there is a major movement to secure local transportation, such as positioning the total mobilization of various transportation resources in the region.
Based on the above, in order to solve Major Issue 2, in addition to buses and taxis, which are public transportation, we will utilize various local transportation resources such as pick-up vehicles at commercial facilities and welfare facilities, in order to secure “transportation in the region”, we will conduct a demonstration experiment from FY2022 onwards and subsequent commercialization.
