Efforts utilizing local transport resources (empirical experiments)
Last Updated June 24, 2024
Purpose of the Initiatives
In Yokohama City, we are considering various transportation services suitable for the region with the aim of realizing sustainable local transportation. In order to increase the options for transportation in areas where demand is small and transportation companies are difficult to operate, we will work to introduce transportation services that utilize local transportation resources.
Initiatives in Higashimata Noji Ward, Totsuka Ward
Demonstration experiment of local contribution bus "Nagomi-go" (finished on June 28, 2024, it will be fully operated as "Higamata-go" from July 1.)
From January 2024, Yokohama City and the Special Nursing Home for the Elderly Waminoen have been conducting demonstration experiments of transportation services that contribute to the community in Higashimatanocho, Totsuka-ku, in order to increase the options for transportation in areas where demand is small and transportation companies are difficult to operate.
This time, based on the results of the demonstration experiment, it will be operated continuously, so from July 1, 2024, the name will be changed from "Nagomi" to "Higamata". Start full-scale operation.
