Demand Traffic Demonstration Experiments in Asahikita, Asahi Ward

Last Updated November 21, 2024

Purpose of the Initiatives

Construction of new mobility services

In Yokohama City, in order to secure transportation services suitable for the region, various types of demonstration experiments are being conducted, such as "regular route operation" corresponding to demand, "demand transportation" in cooperation with daily life services, and "utilization of local transportation resources".
In order to enhance local transportation, we are verifying “demonstration experiments” and “local transportation support projects”, and based on the results, we are examining the introduction of mobile services and the construction of a new system to enhance sustainability.
In this region, we are considering demand transportation.

Collaboration between mobile services and living services

In this demonstration experiment, in cooperation with living service facilities such as shops, restaurants, hospitals, etc., we will also work on creating opportunities for going out at the same time, thereby increasing the total amount of movement, promoting health, economic effects, and reducing environmental impact. We aim to improve the attractiveness and value of the town by realizing multifaceted value-added mobility services.

We will conduct a demand traffic demonstration experiment!

Demand transportation

This is a mobile service form that combines the efficiency of transporting multiple people at once, like a bus, and the flexibility to respond to the needs of users in detail like a taxi.
If you tell us the desired date of use, the platform and destination, the time you want to ride, etc. on the telephone or WEB site, the specialized system calculates the destination and arrival time of multiple users, and after multiple people ride together, Operates on the optimal route.
